Our Ministry

About Pastor Will

In July 2019 the people of Brackett Church welcomed me to be their pastor. It has been an absolute honor and joy to serve this community. Between the pandemic, leaving our old denomination, and adjusting to life on an island, I’ve learned so much. I’m grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow. This is the fifth church where I’ve worked professionally; the others were all in eastern Massachusetts. I’ve been in ministry since I was 21. My favorite thing about ministry is people. And here at New Brackett Church, community is what it’s all about. I share my life with my husband, Tyler, who is now working in the Portland School District. Our dog, Alison, is a Bichon Frise. I went to college at the University of Chicago (B.A.) and seminary at Boston University (M. Div.). Some of my hobbies are gardening and classical music. I look forward to meeting you, if I haven’t done so already!

About Bethany Perkins, Music Director

Our music director is Bethany Perkins, who chooses music for worship, rehearses and leads the choir, and performs piano or organ preludes and postludes. New Brackett Church has a drop-in choir, meaning we learn the music for that day’s service during the 8:30am rehearsal. All voices are welcomed and are encouraged to have fun with us and “Show Up and Sing!”

Bethany (she/her) is a private voice and piano instructor, and the founder of Solutionary Arts of New England, which puts on awareness fundraisers for important community causes. Follow on Instagram @solutionaryartsne . Bethany is a professional soprano, singing with St Mary Schola and Top Hat Productions as well as in solo work. She also regularly accompanies throughout Maine. Bethany especially enjoys her two cats, Nerdy and Bubbles, and dog Marty, visiting her family, going to karaoke and doing yoga.

About Debbie Lucatorto, Administrative Assistant

Debbie is a life-long member of the Peaks Island community and moved here full time in the summer of 2022. She most recently worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Community Outreach area of the Atlantic Health System in New Jersey for almost 25 years. She lives in the old (Randall) family home with her husband Marco and half Maine-coon cat Bowie.

Their daughter Toni lives in NJ and visits regularly. Her family has owned the house since 1992 and always looked forward to coming up throughout the years.
